Noosh, Inc. Provides the Industry's First E-Commerce Collaboration Solution for the Production and Procurement of Direct Mail

West Group's time to market significantly improved with noosh.com direct mail capabilities

SEYBOLD SAN FRANCISCO 2000—August 30, 2000—Noosh, Inc., (www.noosh.com) a leading provider of collaborative, online supply chain solutions today announced that its direct mail module is helping customers, such as West Group, the foremost provider of e-information and solutions to the U.S. legal market, meet their time-to-market objectives. West Group and other Noosh customers are utilizing the noosh.com service to design, procure and deliver enterprise communications including direct mail, collateral and advertising.

The direct mail module within noosh.com enables buyers and suppliers to specify and manage all information regarding their projects, including data processing needs, insertion requirements, printed piece specifications and mailing list details. In addition, Noosh collaboration enables appropriate information to be shared with members of the supply chain, including lettershop service suppliers who now have the ability to be immediately aware of upstream modifications and product availability. With the noosh.com service, everyone in the supply chain can stay informed and up-to-date on all aspects of a project, anytime, anywhere they have access to an Internet connection.

For many companies, such as West Group, direct mail is a significant part of their overall marketing efforts. To support the sale of its publishing products and online services, West Group produces approximately 9,000 marketing materials projects per year, 50 percent of which are direct mail.

West Group is currently utilizing the noosh.com service to collaborate with 120 internal marketing staff and their suppliers, who provide printing, paper, pre-press and lettershop services. West Group has been using noosh.com since June 1 of this year and has implemented the service with their suppliers. Noosh has trained 29 internal staff members at West Group and 25 individuals from 17 of their supplier organizations. To date, West Group has entered approximately 1,000 jobs into the noosh.com system.

"Noosh.com was the only e-commerce solution that could accommodate direct mail," said Virginia Flo, creative services production manager, West Group. "It was clear that Noosh knew more about direct mail than anyone else. Streamlined communications, common specifications and the ability to compare estimates given in a standard format allow us to complete projects in less time. We have experienced incredible time savings - estimates that used to take days to receive are now done in hours."

"We have worked closely with our customers to develop the direct mail module," said Dave Hannebrink, senior vice president of marketing and business development, Noosh, Inc. "For many organizations, direct mail is one of the most important aspects of their marketing communication program and we're achieving great success with customers such as West Group."
